This plot illustrates some unexpected observations from the plot of signal amplitude versus direction. It should be noted that the frontal activity from the southeast thru south (broadside view from the monitor location) shows a definite amplitude relationship to the location along the front. Conversely, the southwestern activity (inline frontal view) shows a similiar amplitude range but without the frontal relationship. Activity polarity is indicated by red and green plots (positive and negative, respectively).
The self-expanding file hi_res.exe can be downloaded which contains the documention of this updated version with less than one degree resolution, real-time amplitude versus direction plotting and a more user-friendly iterface.
